Gina Vitale is the Teen & Adult Services Librarian, with a background in art and education. She graduated from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, with a BA in Studio Art and an MS in Elementary Education K-6. After working as a preschool and kindergarten teacher for about five years, she earned an MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) at the University of Pittsburgh. She likes to read history, historical fiction, and dystopian novels, and also loves gardening, decorating, baking, walking, bird watching, family history, fashion, and working on art projects.

Miss Sarah works at Coyle Free Library in downtown Chambersburg. Her favorite things include, in no particular order: baking, reading, walking, most things Disney-related, swimming (in pools, not the oceans or lakes or ponds or rivers or creeks or bays or gulfs or any body of water that is home to fish) playing board games, watching the NBA, gardening, and spending time with her family. Miss Sarah can’t choose a favorite book but her favorite movie is The Muppet Christmas Carol. She has been working in libraries since 2008

Miss Cheryl moved to Mercersburg from Ellicott City, MD. 34 years ago. No matter where she has lived, the public library has always been a special place for her. So twenty-five years ago, she was very excited to get a job at the Fendrick Library in Mercersburg. Not only is she surrounded by books, but she also gets to work with and meet wonderful people. When not at the library she enjoys time with her family, being outside, a variety of music, and rooting for the Steelers. Of course reading is on the list too!

April grew up in Fulton County and loves visiting Fulton County Library (which her mom helped to get started and grow) and Hustontown Branch Library. She’s spending a lot of the summer growing food in her garden, making her trees grow, and watching her bees. She loves to read all sorts of books.

Ms. Melanie is Youth Services Coordinator at Grove Family Library. After an initial career in theatre, film and television production, Melanie earned a Master of Arts in Teaching at the University of Pittsburgh. She taught elementary school (grades K-3) for nine years. Melanie loves interacting with children, families and colleagues at the library. She is currently living happily ever after with her beloved husband, and two magical cats, in a log house in the woods.

Miss Cheyenne grew up in Greencastle and has been visiting Besore Library since she was a child. She is known for her love of cooking and baking (especially cupcakes and mini cookies). She started working at the library in 2011, since then she has had many positions within the library finally settling on Children’s librarian. She loves to spend her time off with family and friends, going on mini adventures, finding the perfect outdoor reading spot, and watching old movies.

Deanna has lived in St. Thomas Township in the same house her whole life. She has been employed at the St. Thomas Library for almost 34 years. She enjoys doing crafts with the children at the library and talking with the patrons as they come into the library. She loves going on vacation with her husband Ross, especially to Tennessee and taking cruises.
